The files you upload

This is the part that matters most, so it comes first.

• Files are sent over encrypted connections and processed automatically. No human being reads your documents.
• Processing involves third-party AI services acting on our behalf. Your file is transmitted to them for the sole purpose of recognising its contents, and they are not permitted to use it for anything else.
• Your files and the text extracted from them are never used to train any model, ours or anyone else's.
• Recognition results are returned to your browser. Copying or downloading them is entirely your action — we do not publish, index, or share them.

If a document is too sensitive to be processed by an online service at all, please do not upload it. That is true of every cloud OCR tool, this one included.

What else we collect

No account is required to use the tool, so for most visitors there is no personal information to collect at all. Beyond that:

• Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, and request timestamps. Used to keep the service running, diagnose faults, and stop abuse.
• Preferences — your language and light or dark choice, stored in your browser so the site remembers them.
• Account details — only if you choose to create an account: your name and email address, and nothing more.

We do not run advertising networks, we do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not sell data to anyone.

How we use it

Only to operate and improve the service: keeping it available, fixing what breaks, preventing abuse, and understanding which features people actually use.

When we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only when one of these applies:

• With service providers who process data on our behalf so the service can function, bound by confidentiality obligations.
• When the law requires it, or in response to a valid, lawful request from a public authority.
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of users or the public — for example, when investigating abuse.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. Material changes will be announced on the site itself rather than buried here.
